Compared to 'Phantom of the Opera', 'Into the Woods', 'Secret Garden', Sweeney Todd', and 'Grimm's Fairy Tales', Zoe Vandermeer's original story, songs, lyrics and artwork is a poetic world of enchantment, emotional depth, and entertainment for all ages. It has been performed as a solo show, chamber concert and concert opera production in Scotland, California, Connecticut and New York City. Venues include Nairn Little Theatre in Scotland; Where Eagles Dare Theatre, New York City; San Francisco Concerto Orchestra and soloists; Academy of Art Museum, San Francisco; San Mateo Convention Center; Merwinsville Hotel Restoration; Russian River Chamber Concerts; Borders Books, San Rafael (CD Release event); and elsewhere. Awards, Prizes: Some of the songs have been nominated for Best Classical Song and for Best Children's Song, by the JPF international songwriting organization in 2000, 2001, and 2002. Radio: The CD has received airplay on KWMR, CA public radio, KUSF, KGPR Montana public radio, Moray Firth Radio Scotland, KCRS Kansas City, and others.
